Cataract is one of the leading causes of preventable vision impairment. According to WHO Vision Report published in 2019 there are about 65 million people in the world who suffer from decreased vision due to cataracts. It is unfathomable to comprehend that how can this still be a problem in 21st century if it will cost less than $200 dollars per surgery, why then are we still struggling? Lack of accessibility and affordability remain the leading barriers. We are financially supporting like-minded surgeons to perform cataract surgeries in various parts of globe. Furthermore, our plan to train and retain retina surgeons to serve community needs will be the best solution in solving the problem.
