Jamie Laws

Jamie Laws is a Kentucky native and a University of Kentucky graduate with a degree in accounting. She is a Partner and Executive Committee Member at Louis T. Roth & Co., a very reputable accounting firm in Louisville. Jamie began her career at Louis T. Roth in 1997. As a partner, she specializes in tax planning and consulting for healthcare and other businesses. She works with families, high net worth individuals, and small- to medium-sized businesses. Before joining LTR, Jamie worked for a Lexington accounting firm. After seven years—and an offer to become partner— she decided to leave Lexington to work at LTR in Louisville. Throughout her career, Jamie has maintained a steady focus on helping clients succeed, often in the toughest and most crucial situations. 

Beyond employing her expertise in the service of clients, Jamie eagerly shares her knowledge with colleagues and the surrounding community. She has appeared in several articles in Business First, she has given tax update presentations to various local organizations. Jamie grew up watching her father, an accountant, work hard to support the family, learning from his example the importance of a strong work ethic. In addition to her excellent career in accounting, Jamie is involved in many community service organizations. She is actively involved in Impact 100 Louisville, an organization empowering woman. She is a former board member of Day Spring, Inc. 

Jamie lives in Louisville with her husband, Chris, and their two children. She devotes much of her free time to pursuits in the outdoors–running, hiking, boating, and skiing. She is even a certified scuba diver!
