Seema Singal
Seema is a native Canadian with a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences from University of Calgary. Although she grew up playing in the snow, she now loves the warmth of Kentucky. After graduating, she started working at OSI Pharmaceuticals and after that Astellas Pharmaceuticals as a senior systems analyst. She first worked in Research and Development assisting scientists with data analysis and data mining for potential drug targets. Later, her work focused on Project Management for global implementation of data archiving solutions and electronic lab notebooks. In July of 2020, Seema decided to retire from work to become more active in her philanthropic role. She serves the local Louisville community by serving on different meaningful boards and education initiatives or mentorship programs. She has been actively involved in the Kentucky Country Day Board and she is the Chair of Strategic Planning committee. As a board member for Adarsh Charitable Foundation, she plays the role of advisor for the foundation on new outreach initiatives and grants alongside her husband Inder. In her free time, she loves to work out at Orangetheory Fitness and is passionate about ensuring her two teenage daughters understand the importance of giving back to the community.
